Revelation 16:17

And the seventh poured out his bowl upon the air; and there came forth a great voice out of the temple, from the throne, saying, It is done:

16:17 And the seventh (# 7, means: The number of Divine, complete, endless, perfection)

poured out his bowl on the air (Adam had Dominion over the fowls [Spiritually speaking, Spirits] of the Air, and was told by God to SUBDUE IT. Genesis 1:28) This is so we can breathe freely, Spiritually.

Ephesians 2:1-2;

And He did make you alive, you who were dead through your trespasses and sins, 2 in which, you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience;

and there came forth a great voice out of the temple, from the throne, saying, It is done: (Finished) (Note: Revelation 9:15)

We find that in the Book of Esther, Esther represents the Bride of Christ. A man named Haman represents Satan, (Our own unrighteous thinking) who tries to destroy the Jews. (True Jews have their flesh circumcised from their thinking. Romans 2:28,29;)

Esther 9:17

This was done (Finished, Jesus puts an end to rebellion) on the thirteenth day (#13, is the number of rebellion)  of the month Adar; (Adar is the 12^th  Jewish month, [#12] means: Gods Divine Government. Adar, means: Exceeding Glory; Exceedingly Glorious.) and on the fourteenth day (#14, is the number of rest) of the same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

Esther 9:18;

But the Jews that were at Shushan (The Palace of the Lily. One of Jesus’ names is the Lily of the valley) assembled together on the thirteenth day of the month, and on the fourteenth of the same month; and on the fifteenth day (#15 is the number of Redemption) of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

John 19:30; says, it was done,  … finished… on the Cross.

The 7 Plagues are also called the 7 Bowls, the 7 Vials, the 7 Angels… and they come from Heaven, from the Tabernacle of the Testimony itself, in answer to the prayers and blood of the martyrs, as we saw in Revelation 15.    They are the last call for repentance. The seven last plagues are last because with them God’s wrath is completed (Rev.15:1)… they are the last opportunities for all in the Church in the last days (all the days since Christ’s death and resurrection), for you and for me today. They are catastrophes in our lives calling for repentance because God wants all persons in the world to go to eternal Heaven (1Tim.2:5).

The seven plagues can be compared to the warnings given in Leviticus 26:21,24,28.: If you remain hostile toward me and refuse to listen to me, I will multiply your afflictions seven times over, as your sins deserve…people ignored the repentance call of the 7 Seals and the 7 Trumpets, so here come the 7 Bowls…

The 7 Bowls are directed at:

1.     The people who had the mark of the beast and worshipped his image, both [Carnal] Christians and non-Christians (NOTE: Revelation 16:2).

2.     Those who had shed the blood of the saints and prophets, the martyrs (NOTE: Revelation 16:6,7).

3.     To the throne of the beast and his kingdom on earth (NOTE: Revelation 16:10).  

4.     To the air where Satan has his dwelling (NOTE: Revelation 16:17).

The 7 Bowls follow a similar pattern as the 7 Trumpets, and some of them remind us of the plagues of Egypt: The first four affecting creation: earth, sea, water, cosmos… then two affecting the beast… the final one in which the cities of the nations collapsed.

    A difference:
        – The 7 Seals affect a quarter of the land.
        – The 7 Trumpets affect a third of mankind… and much of mankind refuse to repent.   
        – The 7 Bowls or Cups with the 7 Plagues affect all mankind who once again refuse to repent.

Bowl 1  is poured out on the land and it affects the people who had the mark of the beast and worshipped his image.

Bowl 2  is poured out on the sea
Bowl 3  is poured out on the rivers
Bowl 4  is poured out on the sun
Bowl 5  is poured out over the throne of the beast
Bowl 6  is poured out over the Euphrates
Bowl 7  is poured out into the air, where Satan has his dwelling… the cities of the nations collapsed.

Revelation 16:18

And there were lightning, and voices, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since there were men upon the earth, so great an earthquake, so mighty.

16:18

And there were lightning, (To See Spiritually) and voices, and thunders; (To Hear Spiritually)

and there was a great earthquake, (Our faults are shaken and shown, so that we can see and feel them) The faults in our lives are made known to us so that we may repent and confess them to our Creator. We will understand what God is showing us.

such as was not since there were men upon the earth, so great an earthquake, so mighty.

Revelation 16:19

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

16:19

And the great city (The Harlot Babylon; Babylon, Babel, place of confusion.)

was divided (The whole city, which are its people)   

into three parts, (Natural, Carnal and Spiritual Man)

Zechariah 13:8-9;

And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, says, the LORD, two parts (Of People, Natural and Carnal man) therein shall be cut off (From Grace) and die; (In Sin) but the third part (Spiritual man.) shall be left therein. (NOTE: Revelation 8:7,8,11; 9:16; 12:4; 16:19; 22:19;) And I will bring the third part through the fire, (Spiritual man goes through a consuming Fire during this life that burns up all that is not of God) and will refine them as silver is refined, (Redemption) and will try  (To test; Tested) them as gold is tried: (Godly thinking) they shall call on My name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is My people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

and the cities (Three Groups of people)

of the nations (Heathen and Carnal Man) 

fell: (From Grace)

and Babylon the great (The Harlot Babylon and all the people connected to her. Man’s temple of pride with self on the throne)

was remembered (Vashti, was remembered by the king. She would eat only from her own banquet table, a type and symbol of the Harlot Babylon) (NOTE: Revelation 11:10; 13:2; 14:8; 16:19; Chapters 17 thru 18:13.)

in the sight of God, to give to her (The Harlot Babylon)

the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. (NOTE: Revelation 16:1)

God’s wrath is about to do away with the Harlot Thinking, within us.

Esther 2:1;

After these things, when the wrath (Consuming Fire, that burns up all that is not of God) of King Ahasuerus (A type and symbol of Jesus) was appeased, He remembered Vashti (A type and symbol of the Harlot Babylon) and what she had done, and what was decreed against her.

Revelation 16:20

And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

16:20

And every island  (Man, on his own) An island is land (People) which is alone and not connected to any other land. (People, cities)

Isaiah 41:1;

Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: (Be restored to God’s Grace) let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together (Assemble) to judgment. (God’s way of thinking; God’s Light of Truth, exposing all that is not of Him, in our lives, so that, we might repent and confess to Him, asking for His Grace, in order to Practice Righteousness)

fled away, (Ran away)

and the mountains (A place of high and lofty thoughts, either of God or of Man. In this case, Man’s, own way of thinking, not God’s)

were not found. (In order to be judged by God)

Revelation 16:21

And great hail, [every stone] about the weight of a talent, comes down out of heaven upon men: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof is exceeding great.16:21

And great hailstones, (Exposes lies) (NOTE: Revelation 6:1; 8:7)

Isaiah 28:17;

And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the level; and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding-place.

about the weight of a talent, (A Talent equals a hundred pounds. The heaviest load a man should carry.) (A hundred is the amount which denotes our ability to endure God’s Judgment unto full age or maturity; Word, #8180 from the root word, #8176 To think, estimate: a measure: to split, to open, as a door: from word, #8179: to act as a gatekeeper; Light of Truth that exposes all that is not of Him.) (Note: Revelation 9:16)

came down from heaven upon men: (To be able to endure God’s Judgment)

It may not seem like it at the time, however, God will not give us more than we can bear.

and men blasphemed (Spoke against the will of God)

God because of the plague of the hail; (Exposes the lies, within our lives)

Many things we think that are of God are half truths.  They are not the Truth, but lies. Many times it hurts us to see the Truth because it hurts our PRIDE. Our PRIDE is being killed by God’s hailstorm.

for its plague (This is the Greek word, Plege [Play-gay] #4127, meaning: To wound; stripe; calamity: From the Root: Plesso [Place-so] #4141, meaning: To Flatten; flattening out; to pound; to inflict with calamity; smite. From the word, Tupto [Toop-to, #5180, meaning: To hit with repeated blows; to beat, strike.  To hammer. To offend the conscience.] (Note: Revelation 8:6 @ Joshua 6; Revelation 9:18; 15:1; 17:1;)

thereof was extremely great.
