It astounds me that so few Christians even today realize the time we live in. We have now passed from “the last days” to “the Day of the LORD.” How do I know? Because Mystery Babylon has now been identified and the judgments specified in the Bible upon this great harlot have begun. Why didn’t World War I or World War II designate the beginning of the Day of the LORD? Because those wars were wake up calls for those nations of the West who once called themselves Christian. But, rather than thank God for their continued existence and rather than repenting of their sins, these nations, all of them, went off to spurn and reject God, sinning each new day with greater strength and vigor to do evil.

Today most men of worldly standing call Christianity a myth. They believe in Darwin’s theory of evolution and prefer to pray, if they pray at all, to the pagan deities of indigenous peoples than to the God who created heaven and earth. History has run its course. The earth has worn out like a dirty, ill-used blanket for man has purposely polluted and raped it with his unrelenting quest for mammon. Massive animal die-offs mark these last four months and will continue increased and unabated because of massive world-wide pollution and purposeful destruction of ecosystems.

I believe that the Mexican Gulf Oil Disaster of April 2010 actually began the Day of the LORD. It may have begun earlier, but I do not know that defining date. This disaster is ongoing and catastrophic. You need to be watching it because it affects you. I no longer buy shrimp or anything else that I think comes from the Gulf of Mexico waters. More than 100,000 people along the Gulf currently suffer from what I call Gulf Oil Syndrome. Some have already died. The mainstream news blackout and US and BP coverups continue.

We have also seen unprecedented massive wildlife kills since December 2010. Our government offers ridiculous reasons for the catastrophes. For example, when thousands of red-winged blackbirds fell to their death at the new year they claimed that fireworks scared them and they flew into trees and killed themselves. The poor things! How ludicrous! Since these blackbird deaths the world has witnessed massive deaths of dolphin, eagles, octopus, starlings, penguins, Eider ducks, cattle, buffalo, magpie, mallards, seals, pelicans, crows, Menhaden fish, grackles, crickets, gizzard shad, turtledoves, pigeons, crabs, jackdaws, American coot, bats, clams, drumfish, jelly fish, and the list goes on and on.  Today it is reported that “[m]illions of anchovies, mackerel, sardines and other small fish washed up dead overnight in the harbor area of Redondo Beach, Calif., just south of Los Angeles.” Also remember that the world’s honey bees have been dying en mass for several years now. “Mass animal deaths are normal,” says our government. And I say, “No way. These deaths are not normal and you know it.”

These mass animal deaths make up a significant sign that we have now passed into the Day of the LORD. The following Scripture tells us why this has happened. It also specifically mentions that these mass animal kills show the time we live in.

Hear the word of the LORD, you children of Israel: for the LORD has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land: Because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break all restraint, and bloodshed touches bloodshed. Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwells in it shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fish of the sea also shall be taken away. Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for your people are as they that strive with the priest. Therefore shall you fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with you in the night, and I will destroy your mother. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: because you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children. (Hosea 4:1-6)

Today’s “Children of Israel” are Christians. This passage speaks prophetically to us, Christians at the end of time, at the beginning of the Day of the LORD, Christians who rebelled against God by replacing his word with their own and then went off to sin in every way imaginable.
