we pray that you would grant
Barack Obama faith in you
and your Son, Jesus the Messiah,
and that you would grant him
a spirit of repentance
that he will repent
of his many sins
and lawless actions
that he has already performed
as acting president of the United States.
And, we pray
that you will give him wisdom
to enact good, moral laws
which lead our land
and indeed the whole world
into peace.

A very nice prayer. But why not just cut out the middle man (0bama) and pray for the Devil himself? [cue the Rolling Stones 'Sympathy for the Devil'].
0bama has already made his bed with the forces of Hell, and just as Israel was cursed by the evil reign of King Ahab, now it’s America’s turn.

Mark, I agree with you that Mr. Obama is in a heap of trouble for calling good evil and evil good! God’s goal with each of us is to bring us to repentance. Only massive repentance from the top down and within our churches can avert the catastrophes waiting on our doorstep.
I don’t understand why you think Obama is is evil and and Bush was not. I am a Christian too and seek righteousness. I saw no mercy in the last administration. No love that comes from God. Bush did not love his enemy but started an unprovoked war that have killed many innocents. Obama to me is just a man like Bush who also confesses Christ.
What makes America great isn’t that it is a so called Christian country. But it is the separation between Church and State. What makes us great is that we can worship Jesus Christ according to our conscience and not have it dictated to us by those that think that they know the right way. What makes this country great is the freedom to worship God and no God and to be able to speak our minds be it right or wrong.
Do you think that Bush is more righteousness of a president than Obama? Satan is the father of lies and Bush and Cheney lied us into a war that have seen needless deaths and many of you don’t care because you have not the love of God in you for all your so called righteousness and abiding in Christ. Love cover the multitude of sins. We have been cursed by the last 8 years of Bush. Obama wouldn’t have become president except that Bush was so horribly unrighteous and a deceiver and loved not the orphans and the widows (the needy) but took care of the rich.
We worship different Gods. My God highest virtue is love even love for sinners and my enemies. You have a surprise coming. For the same judgement you have given i others is judged upon you in return and you are still in your sins. You have not changed nor have been born from above. I have read many good things on this site. Spiritual things. But one thing I have not seen here is that no flesh shall glory in God’s presence. You say you are saved by grace yet you judge others as if you have saved yourselves. Where is your fear and trembling? It is eaten up by your ravenous pride. You think you have the truth of Christ without love.

Obama and Bush work for the same people and the same god. I in no way condone what President Bush did. He did not stand up for righteousness. Neither does Obama. Nevertheless, I pray that both will repent!
I agree with you that no earthly government is holy. And I don’t think that we can legislate true righteousness either. This best we can do in this world and with this world’s government is create an arena where truth can abide and grow and I think the founding fathers by the grace of God has done just that. This is a country that respects the rights of its citizens and have separation of church and state. This is what have made this country great.
Is it right for this government to choose one religion over another? No, not even if it be “Christianity.” But even if this government chose Christianity and christian values which form of Christianity should it choose from? “Conservative!” says the conservative. “Liberal!” says the liberal. “Mormon!” says the mormon as with The Pentecostal and the Evangelical and etc. But Christianity is not a religion but a covenant relationship of grace with the most High through the Jesus Christ.
The real Christian leaders aren’t in government but preaching the gospel and helping people to be firmly situated in the government of God that must be within us to be real. This is the yoke of Christ and rest to our souls and this is the kingdom of God within. It is being led of the spirit which the doing of righteousness and the being of righteousness is the fruit of the spirit. And it must grow in us first a seed then a sprout then a sapling then a tree and then fruit upon the tree. Does the farmer say to the seed, “Why aren’t a sprout?” No. But he cultivates it and in time it grows and if not then it is pruned.
We await for the outward kingdom and the government of God to be set up when Jesus comes and rules. No country can be saturated in God’s spirit by legislation. But good laws and freedoms and civil rights can create an arena where men can worship God according to their conscience and that means that the gospel can be preached also. Now since the grace of God is also the power of God, people will come and be saved. Again this is what makes this country blessed. Our Christian roots and the freedom to worship Christ according to conscience. This means there is freedom to fail and freedom to succeed. And how great is the success of God! He will not destroy a land because of a righteous remnant. Don’t fear a curse might come upon this country. Certainly no more than with Bush. But we have a remnant and we have more than just a Lot in Sodom.
So who is the good politician? He is the one that allows the gospel to be preached. He doesn’t dictate religion or preaches a phony doctrine of righteous legislation that will make a country righteous because this is a lie and the righteousness of filthy rags that can only create tares and not wheat. If you know the mystery of the gospel of Christ as I think you do from reading this site then you know what I am saying is right. For even if there are Christian laws and people that follow them. Without Christ they are tares and not wheat. It is the form of Godliness with out the power there of and the power there of is the source which is Christ..
God want our inner and outward actions to be holy. He wants is to be and to do. If we “do” and “are not” we will be unclothed and not dressed for the wedding feast and will be kicked out. If we do not preach or believe in the righteousness of “doing” which is the law we will be considered the least in the kingdom of God but yet we can still be in the kingdom. God’s desire is for fruit that is inward and outward. Truly if we have the fruit of the spirit we have peace with God and right action in accordance to the amount of spiritual fruit some hundredfold some sixty some thirty. All of this come from hearing the word and understanding it. (Matthew 13:23) Because faith with out understanding is blind. Notice how the preachers of the gospel of the Jesus Christ of Mammon is preaching a gospel of riches and hence preaching a word to those with weeds in their hearts. If you know these things. God bless you. Maybe God wanted to confirm these things in you through the voice of another. I don’t want to come across like a spiritual busybody or a know it all. Yet I am greatly concerned about the state of the church in general and I have shirked my responsibility for many years because of feeling that, “I am not great.” and thinking, “How can I change things?” But most of all I didn’t trust in my myself to know the truth. Which is a false humility in Christ who leads us to all truth through his spirit if we understand and believe. But Christ also said to take the lower seat and let the master of the house bid you to come and take a higher seat. I have done this.
Most people don’t know what Jesus is talking about when he said “anything you ask in my name I will do.” (John 14:14) Here is the key to the power of the sons of God and is the key to the power of the two witnesses. Since you are a man of God and have some wisdom. You judge.
Few people know the “name” that Jesus is talking about. Their ignorance increases because they think they know and don’t know as they ought.
The key is in Revelation 19:12-13 “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.”
In 1Corinthians 13:12 it says “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I KNOW even as also I am KNOWN.”
Could the perfect be had in this lifetime? I believe so. Why not? Are not all things possible for God? It is simply Christ within us the hope but also the glory. And even if Jesus return today and was before us and we could see him if he is not in us and known intimately as we are known his physical presence and seeing him with our physical eyes and hearing him with our physical ears will not bring us the intimate knowing of the act of spiritual marriage because it must be done spiritually. But only the seed of him the word of God in the womb of our souls that have grown aware through birth and maturation may we know him as we are known. This is spiritual and is done by God’s spirit the chief instrument of his grace.
But “not by might and not by power but by my spirit says the Lord.” These two will have found the endless supply of oil that is in Christ and is Christ and become children of light. You are right in one sense they will not do anything that is not available to any other christian in theory. But they will not be theorists but actually walking in the truth. You know a perfect name is a perfect description. In spiritual terms a name gives knowledge of the named. Jesus is not talking about a name of earthly sound but a name of the spiritual knowledge of him. (Let those that have ears hear.) He is also talking about an intimate knowing. (We are his bride.) And in earthly terms in marriage we become one flesh with our beloved. In spiritual terms Christ becomes one with us in spirit. As you have noted on your site, “like gives birth to like.” But this leads us to the mystery of abiding in Christ and of humility that leads to exaltation and true repentance that brings forth fruit and the axe that is at the root of the tree of sin and error. But you have an anointing that no man need teach you anything. Is that not true? So you must know all of these things already or are you in need of a teacher?
The two will prove the will of God. There will be at least two that will do this before the end of this age. The truth of God in Christ is not like the luke warm think it is.. It is not about mere morality. It is about transformation. These two will be transformed. They will continually be in the presence of God (standing) while here on the earth. They will demonstrate “mere Christianity.” Just mere Christianity and God’s grace so that no man can boast and no flesh will boast in God’s presence. They will point not to themselves but to Christ and the grace of God. This will be there testimony and witness. “The word of God is the greatest power in all the worlds” and “There is no greater love than a man lays down his life for his friends” and “All glory belongs to the most high and Jesus the Christ and they are one and yet different” and they will explain this mystery of God in Christ Jesus. There is only two things for us that believe; there is the grace of God which is our truth and everything else which is a lie. They will know that and that will be the source of their mighty link with God through Christ. This is true humility that leads to exaltation and why they are clothed spiritually in sackcloth and having no confidence in anything else in this world except God’s grace they are perfected in praise. This lack of confidence is a spiritual breaking with all idols and they worship God and God alone fulfilling the first commandment. And God’s grace suffices them and is not just favor or a gift but also the very power of their transformation and depending upon it they do greater works to the glory of God. For this glorifies God that there is such a great salvation. And this is their witness to the world and they themselves have become an epistle read by all men. Selah
