Like No Other

Flowers grace the table
upon which she places plates;
A home-made quilt embraces
the son her love has made

Colors stir my eyes
from every nook and room
creating prisms in my mind,
like rainbows after gloom

A haven she has made,
this woman and this mother;
with blessing she has made
a world that’s like no other.

(A tribute to my wife on Mothers’ Day 2015)
