He rises from the sea
of mankind; they’re all the same
with seven loathsome heads,
ten fearful horns of dread
Speaking blasphemy
he comes, always without shame
his seven loathsome heads
exalt the living dead
He talks religion
as a lamb, yet wears a dragon’s mane;
then, rising from the earth
with his dragging tail are led
all people of the world
deceived, who haven’t yet a name
written in the book of life,
of whom it has been said,
that they shall be as trees
fruit-bearing in their train,
planted by the waters
with Christ their King as Head.
