Has the Word of the Lord been revealed to you?  Do you know that you know that Jesus Christ is the Word of God made flesh?  Do you know that you know that he, through his Spirit, inspired men of old to write down the truth concerning himself which we today call “The Word of God,” or “The Bible?”  If you do not know this fundamental truth in the depth of your soul, then you cannot go any farther with God until you do.  You should read my brief testimony before proceeding below.

The revelation of the Word begins, as I say in my testimony, with a desire to know the truth.  So long as you love the lie and the fruit of the lie, God will not reveal himself to you.  When you begin to loath the man or woman you have become because you begin to see how mean, selfish, and ugly inside you really are, then Jesus always stands ready to reveal himself to you. 

The revelation of the Word begins with understanding who Jesus is.  Many unbelievers, politicians, and adherents of false religions give lip service to Jesus and say that they believe he was a good man, an inspired teacher.  But, they lie, and do not really believe this because Jesus would have been the greatest of deceivers, a false evil teacher, unless he was who said he was.  Who did he say he was?  He said he was the actual and literal Son of God.

Jesus taught several disciples, whom he called apostles.  These men were eye-witnesses of his life, his teaching, his love of truth, and his majesty.  Several of them wrote books, while they were inspired by the Holy Spirit, to tell us who Jesus was and what he did when he lived on earth as a man of flesh and blood.  I speak of the books written by Matthew, John, Peter, and James.  All four of these men knew Jesus personally.  They speak the truth and are not liars.  To lie would be anathema to them, for they teach people to love the truth and to hate the lie.  To lie concerning Jesus would have been the greatest hypocrisy and perversion to them.

John, Jesus’ best friend, said this concerning him:

    In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  [2] He was in the beginning with God.  [3] All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.  [4] In him was life, and the life was the light of men.  [5] The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
    [6] There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.  [7] He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him.  [8] He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.
    [9] The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.  [10] He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.  [11] He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.  [12] But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.  [13] who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
    [14] And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.  [15] ( John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’ “)  [16] And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.  [17] For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.  [18] No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.  (John 1:1-18 ESV) 

No, Jesus was not just “a good man” or “a great teacher.”  Jesus is the WORD who was with God and WAS GOD.  JESUS WAS GOD IN THE FLESH WHO REVEALED HIMSELF (GOD) TO MAN.  If you do not know that you know this is true, then the Word of the Lord has not yet been revealed to you.  But, he will be….
