The goal and purpose of creation is God reproducing himself. He made man in his own image, but he could not just create him to only know and do good. Then man would be a mere machine. No, God’s creation of man has been a six day (six thousand year) process during which man learns to discern good and evil and do the good while eschewing the evil. Most of the articles on this site deal with some aspect of our responsibility with respect to our own creation. Life in the Spirit
