Philosophy vs. Wisdom

Wisdom still cries aloud in the streets,
but very few listen to her;
She states the obvious and the true,
yet men call her a liar

She points to reality in the skies
and men say she is deceived;
She tells men that God shall hold them accountable,
but they scoff and say God has already saved them

The words of a man’s mouth
are deep waters deceiving the soul
while the fountain of wisdom
bubbles as the brook which restores the soul

The words of a man’s mouth
dig deep in the earth to hide what is true
while the fountain of wisdom
reveals through its ways all that is truth

The philosophy of man
obscures, deceives, and destroys
but the wisdom of God
reveals, releases, and rejoices

Notice the man wise
in his own eyes;
he hesitates not to lie
for his wisdom deceives him

A man who is wise
in his own eyes
stays not his hand
from any evil deed

The fool says in his heart,
“there is no God,”
yet fools control
and rule the earth

But rule is righteous or not at all
and sin must finally take its fall;
the sons of God will one day stand
to take possession of God’s land

They will not judge by what they see
or hear, or think in frivolity,
but with perfect judgment they will rule
with rod of iron, God’s chastening tool.
