To the Law & to the Testimony

Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward. And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness. (Isaiah 8:16-22 KJV)

This blog is now about four years old. During that time I have endeavored to teach God’s Word concerning his overcomers.  My goal has been to understand God’s teaching about overcoming, put that teaching into practice, and to teach others to do the same.  I hope that these writings have helped some to find and stay upon that narrow path which leads to New Jerusalem, our eternal home.

I stated a few weeks ago that I believe that I am to “stand down” from this work. I still believe that, but God’s work continues and I will continue to work as God calls me to. If anyone new comes to this site before tribulation on earth prevents that from happening, then please use the tags, categories, search, and links to find answers to your spiritual questions as you seek to follow God. I speak the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to the “law and the testimony” as Isaiah says. Today’s church became corrupt because she threw off God’s law and testimony and thus became a wicked and lewd harlot, a willing participant in and of Mystery Babylon. Christians are called to be “in the world, but not of the world.” Today’s church by and large is happy to be both in and of the world.

The word of God in Isaiah and Revelation to “come out of her,” and to “come out of Babylon” is the word to depart from the ways of the world. “Do not love the world,” says the apostle John. Many have loved the world and cherished her idols instead of following God’s way, his law and testimony. To any of you new to this site who wish to depart from the ways of the world, then read, read, read! This site will help you to understand and to overcome. But the day is far spent and a new day comes. It will begin with much anguish and tribulation for you who are not ready. Again I say, read the posts on this blog to get ready (if you have time)!

That day is at hand.
